INVESTMENT ARBITRATION

BETTO SERAGLINI assists States as well as foreign investors in disputes relating to state contracts and bilateral investment treaties. Julien Fouret, a partner at the firm, is highly regarded in the field of investment arbitration, a subject matter which he teaches and has also published the “Recueil des Commentaires des Décisions du CIRDI 2002-2007” (Bruylant-2009) as well as spearheaded “Enforcement of Investment Treaty Arbitration Awards” (Globe Law – 2015). He is also responsible for the biannual chronicle of the ICSID in the journal “Law and Practice of International Courts and Tribunals”.

  • Representation of European investors against a European State in a BIT arbitration concerning discriminatory measures and expropriation suffered in the food-processing industry. (1 billion dollars, ICSID, English language)
